Pick Quality Knives! Especially the German Kitchen Knife

I always hate replacing my knives. When I used cheap kitchen knives, I would either chip them or break them within a year. I was passionate about cooking but I just didn’t see the sense in investing a couple of hundreds in a set of good knives.

No matter how much I’d like to sugarcoat it, there isn’t a set of cheap knives that even comes close to the durability and longevity of a German knives set. If you’re looking to replace your worn out knife set, you can’t go wrong with a set of Wusthof. Both the best Wusthof classic and Wusthof gourmet knives are sculpted to be imbue with the utmost durability and performance.

Try asking any owner of a good German knife set, I’m sure they’ll say that German made knives are pretty much all rounders. A good German made chef knife can pretty much be used for almost any kind job in the kitchen. It can be used to chop, dice and slice meat and vegetables easily.

I will always, I mean always stand by an old school German chef knife. If you’re just a home cook, you don’t really need to spend a whole lot on getting a set of knives. I really feel that all you need is one good knife that can help with the most of the cutting tasks in the kitchen. In literal translation, get a German chef knife it’ll be your trusty companion for years to come.

The German

The first knife that is the best is none other than the Wusthof Classic 8-Inch Chef Knife. This German brand has been making wonderful knives for many years but one of the well-known knife is this. It practically slices through anything in its way and don’t get me started on the perfect balance. It has a full tang blade and the handle is secure to it with three rivets. The blade is very durable and it has been known to accidentally cut people if they aren’t careful. Their high-carbon stainless steel knife will certainly last you a lifetime.

I personally love using my Wusthof Classic chef knife. It fits perfectly in my hand. The grippy handle is made of a synthetic material that isn’t as rough as other knives. Balance with this chef knife is impeccable. It has a full tang which means the tail of the blade extends all the way into the handle. Knives with a full tang have a more premium feel due to the comfort and control it delivers.

At the end of the day, it really is up to your own preference. Chef knives differ by weight, length and feel. Anyway, my choice was the Wusthof Classic Chef’s knife and I’m still loving it everyday.
